Germany: Neo-Nazi barbarities gain ground

According to the German Federal Ministry of the Interior, roughly 12,000 far-right wing acts of violence were recorded over the last twelve months on German soil. It´s reported that far-right wing barbarities increased by 30 percent over the same period in Germany, compared to the year before, to wit 2007. Some months ago, the chairwoman of the “Central Council of the Jews in Germany”, Charlotte Knoblauch, announced that every week a grave belonging to a Jew is desecrated in Germany.

Last December 2008, Mr. Mannichl, police superintendent in Passau, in the regional state of Bavaria, was stabbed at the front door of his home, presumably by a neo-Nazi mobster and allegedly because he often clamps down on far-right wing activists.

Many had been calling for the banning the “NPD”, a neo-Nazi party in Germany. Meanwhile, former German Federal President Roman Herzog – CDU, Christian-Democratic Union, opposes that move. The speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, the Lower chamber of the German parliament, Norbert Lammert – CDU – also deems that it isn´t worth the hassle to ban the “NPD” because it´s impossible, in his view, to “eradicate once for all “ neo-Nazi “tendencies in a liberal society”. He may be right. However, such tendencies can be blighted or at least checked if justice prevails and if the expression of such evils isn´t condoned or covered up.

That´s why Sebastian Edhaty -- SPD,  who the chairman of the Interior committee of the German Federal House of Representatives , not so long ego called for a summit against far-right wing violence at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin.

The bottom-line of the situation is that any society that has a constitution which supports the universal principle of the dignity of each human being should at least put in place laws, rules and regulations that protect all people from barbaric acts. Those neo-Nazi groups more often than not exalt and eulogize ancient Germans – in German language, “Die Germanen”.

Now then, it´s common, historical and public knowledge that most barbarians, even in the Middle Ages, were Germans  ( Silvio Zavala) “ […] who before their eventual conversions to Christ all they knew was how to fight, destroy and debauch, none of which required book learning.” ( Silvano Borruso). And the Bible, the Good Book, plainly states that the Evil One came to steal, to destroy, and to kill.

Besides, Tocqueville demonstrated that had the Roman general, statesman, and historian J. G. Caesar been so minded, he would have easily and cogently written that barbarians, i.e. ancient Germans, were “sub-humans” because the Romans are the people who brought them – the ancient Germans -- “civilization”.

We explained in one of our previous articles elsewhere that the “Nordic race” has nothing to do with “Aryans” because ancient Germans were from Scandinavia, the East and the North Sea coast while “Aryans” were a people who had present-day Iran as their heartland; they – the Aryans – then moved, relocated and settled in northern India where they developed a Vedic religion that later on became what is known today as Hinduism. We also discussed elsewhere why some humans are dark-complexioned and other fair-complexioned; the real story in this respect revolves around the tyrosinase.

History has it that the Nazis more often than not referred, related to and drew on the pagan traditions of their ancestors, the ancient Germans. Contemporary neo-Nazis – in German-speaking countries – are just emulating Adolf Hitler, Joseph Goebbels, Heinrich Himmler and fellows of their ilk.

In Germany and in Austria today, xenophobia, racism and anti-Semitism are, from a sociological vista, societal facts and scourges insofar as they´re expressions of those societies and they represent political capital for demagogs. Withal, formal and informal social controls aren´t adequately and sufficiently actuated when it comes to countering and canvassing against far-right wing evils.

For instance, when the late former German Federal President Johannes Rau – SPD or Social-Democratic Party of Germany – once declared that he would listen to Germans and non-Germans alike, because the Basic Law, the constitution of Germany, states that the dignity of all humans – not only of Germans – is inviolable, the Federal Representatives of the CDU went ballistic that the late German Federal President Johannes Rau suggested that German conservatives should desist from encouraging the victimization of immigrants and aliens.

Moreover, this writer remembers one regional state governor in Germany – he isn’t a conservative anyway – who in the 1990s used to speak up against far-right wing violence acts. This politician later on  experienced shipwreck with regard to his political career. In order to claw and/or bounce back, he resorted to cozying up to far-right wing mobsters, stirring up xenophobia.

The German world-famous writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote that Germans are essentially hostile to aliens.

If we apply the “ethnomethodologies” of Harold Garfinkel to the phenomena of xenophobia, racism and anti-Semitism in German-speaking countries, we´ll find out that societies harboring such evils only co-opted Christianity as a cloak for pagan mores and practices.

For example, Martin Luther – not Martin Luther King --, Martin Luther, the German initiator of the Reformation and of Protestantism, was an anti-Semitic. In his book “On the Jews and Their lies” ( 1543), Martin Luther writes: “What shall we Christians do with this rejected and condemned people, the Jews? […] First, to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them […] Second, I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed […]Therefore, wherever you see a genuine Jew, you may with a good conscience cross yourself and bluntly say: ‘ There goes the devil incarnate’.

That´s what Martin Luther wrote and this is barbaric and devilish stuff. This has nothing to do with Biblical Christianity. In peddling such satanic guff, Luther misrepresented Almighty God, Jehovah, the Supreme Being, and his Lamb, Jesus-Christ. Many Jews around the world know that Martin Luther, the man from and of Wittenberg, directly inspired Nazism, Hitler and his henchmen;  they used the utterances of Martin Luther to destroy the property of the then German Jews and to murder them.

On ought to recollect that Jesus- Christ talks about people behaving like Martin Luther when the Lord explains that some so-called Christians would tell him on that Day : “Lord, did we not proclaim the gospel and cast out demons in your name?” And the Lord Jesus-Christ himself will answer: “Beetle off, I´ve never known you, you who serve iniquity.”

Neo-Nazis and their silent backers often overlook that many people around the world will hold them liable for any possible clash and future strife between and among some segments of the global villagers. As the philosopher Michel Serres put it last October 2008, there´s an “invisible global hand” similar to the “invisible hand” propounded by the British philosopher and economist Adam Smith in business and economic matters. This means that if immigrants and aliens are assaulted, their kith and kin in their countries of origin may get their own back on the kith and kin of neo-Nazis and their backers who are living abroad.

Even Hobbes wrote that all humans are equally strong and weak; it depends on which situation one is at a certain moment. From a human perspective, one cannot always be strong all the time. That´s why we need a kind of “social contract” in all societies so as to prevent violence and injustice, and to further peace and justice for all.
